How did Wall do?

The prestigious national HowDidiDo National Matchplay Championship was held recently at Quinta do Lago resort in Portugal. The singles amateur event was won by Chris Wall of Middlesbrough GC playing off of 10 after five rounds of matchplay. Wall was one of 32 golfers from across the UK who played in the grand finals which featured singles, pairs, mixed pairs and senior pairs, for those aged 50 or more.

All 32 qualifiers received complementary return flights to Faro, six nights’ accommodation at the Monte da Quinta Club, on the Quinta do Lago estate, and five days’ golf on the South and Laranjal courses. The popular annual competition is open to any golfer who is a member of an affiliated club with an officially recognised handicap.

HowDidiDo holds in excess of 21 million rounds of golf along with the handicaps, results and scores of more than 1,300,000 UK golf club members. Around 2,000 golf clubs currently use the HowDidiDo system, allowing members to analyse their game and compare performance with other players, at their own club or across the entire HowDidiDo network. It is also used for official CONGU handicapping and competition results.
