HONMA appoints new Territory Sales Manager

HONMA Golf, the world’s most exclusive golfing brand, has appointed a new Territory Sales Manager with more than 30 years of golf industry experience to represent the brand across the Midlands and northern England.

Martin Barnes, a former American Golf Store Manager and golf professional, has joined the expanding HONMA team in the UK to handle existing and selected new accounts from his home in Manchester.

His appointment follows the recent addition of David Stone, Sales Manager covering Southern England and the Irish Republic, as well as David Strachan, the brand’s representative in Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are supported by UK club fitting specialist Luke Peterken.

Alejandro Sanchez, General Manager of HONMA Golf Europe, commented: “The appointment of Martin Barnes comes at a time when the HONMA brand is making waves in the market place with its new TWorld 747 range, as well the customised BERES series clubs. Martin has significant experience in the industry and he’s a great addition to the formidable sales team we have representing our brand in Europe’s biggest golf market.”

Following four years as a golf professional, Martin spent more than a quarter of a century running multiple golf retail branches across the North. He was American Golf Store Manager of the Year in 2017 when he achieved 137% of sales targets.

“I am delighted to have joined the sales team of such a premium brand,” said Martin. “Having achieved a lot during my time in retail, I can now use my knowledge to help grow HONMA business even more,” he added. For more details about HONMA products visit: www.honmagolfeurope.com
