GolfBuddy supports blind golfer Alan Morgan in quest for world title

GolfBuddy, the world-leading developer of distance measuring devices made exclusively for golfers, is delighted to have thrown its support behind blind golfer Alan Morgan as he begins the build up to a tilt at the ISPS Handa World Blind Golf Championship in Rome this October.

Alan, who is a three time British Blind Masters Champion, will be using a GolfBuddy Voice X in competition this year after receiving the unit from U.K. GolfBuddy distributor Golftech. Alan has been using GolfBuddy products for the past two years and feels that their user friendly, distance measuring devices are perfect for his needs, as he explains, “GolfBuddy units are so easy to use and the features on their new Voice X are second to none. When I compete internationally there are a huge number of golfers using GolfBuddy because they can rely on the distances and the clarity of the information on offer.” “I’ve got a busy season ahead,” continued Alan, “I’m targeting a fourth British Masters Championship before going over to Rome for the Italian Open and then straight into the World Championships. It’s great knowing that wherever I go in the world GolfBuddy will have the course covered and that I’ve got the support of my new Voice X. I’ll be doing all I can to have a great season and bring home some trophies.”

The Voice X that Alan will be using has full Voice options as well as screen display if golfers want to turn off the sound. 40,000 courses are pre-loaded into the unit and if Alan happens to find himself at a course not on the Voice X, Automatic Course Updates will synch with his phone and find the course online. The unit benefits from all of GolfBuddy’s world renowned accuracy and technology, combining simplicity and function to deliver that little bit Xtra in a way that every golfer wants.

Ian Waddicar, M.D. of Golftech, concludes, “It’s a pleasure to help Alan out with a unit. I’ve nothing but admiration for the skill it takes to compete in blind golf. I can only hope that our small contribution helps Alan get the most out of his season and adds to what has already been a remarkable career.
