Golf Marketing Hub to Support England Golf ‘Give it a Shot’ Campaign

Online learning and marketing resource platform Golf Marketing Hub (GMH) has become a preferred partner of England Golf, providing marketing support to 300 golf clubs as part of the England Golf ‘Give it a Shot’ campaign. Led by golf marketing experts Nicole and David Wheatley of Medi8 Golf, GMH will provide marketing resources and an online learning platform designed to help golf clubs get the best from their marketing and maximise the impact of the England Golf campaign.

“Becoming a preferred partner of England Golf is a very proud moment for us,” commented David Wheatley, co-founder of Golf Marketing Hub.

“We have worked hard to make GMH the most useful resource we could for golf clubs that want to get the best from their marketing. We had the idea in the first lockdown, when everything was so uncertain, for us and for clubs, so to have England Golf recognise the platform and trust us to work with them on a key campaign like Give it a Shot is a fantastic moment. We can’t wait for the clubs to see what’s in the Hub and to continue developing content that will help them improve their marketing.”

The Give it a Shot campaign from England Golf will help golf clubs with the recruitment and retention of members. Split into two clear pathways, clubs can easily establish their areas for improvement and access readily available content to help implement positive change.

“The Give it a Shot campaign is all about helping golf clubs grow and maintain a happy and loyal membership base and we’re delighted to have Golf Marketing Hub and our other campaign partner Players 1st as a resource for the clubs taking part,” adds Matt Draper, Club, County and Membership senior manager at England Golf. “We know the joy that golf club membership can bring and through our national campaign we will spread a positive message about the benefits of belonging to a club. With simple guides for each stage of the membership journey, the expertise of our campaign partners and the support of our nationwide team of Club Support Officers, participating clubs will be in a great position to grow and maintain a happy and engaged membership.”

Membership to GMH grants access to over 100 video tutorials across five key areas of marketing, with new content added every month. Also available are downloadable resources that include planning documents, marketing templates and ready made social media content that is updated monthly, along with a marketing calendar that features key dates in the industry. Finally, members have access to a private community page to share best practice in the industry. With the addition of 300 memberships this community will be one of the largest communities dedicated to Golf Marketing, and a hive of useful hints, tips and advice from the team and other members.
