Golf Genius Software Announces Strategic Relationship with the PGA of America

Golf Genius Software, the leading worldwide provider of tournament management solutions, announced today that the PGA of America has selected Golf Genius Tournament Management software to manage multiple events, including the PGA Professional Championship, National Car Rental PGA Jr League Championship, and various other Member championships and amateur events, beginning in 2021.

In addition to these high profile events, the PGA conducts a full calendar of annual championships for its nearly 29,000 PGA Professionals. Previously, the PGA developed and used its own proprietary software to manage these tournaments but began evaluating other solutions last year.

As a result, Golf Genius Tournament Management was used to manage a number of successful events in 2019. This year, the PGA issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) in order to transition from its internal proprietary system to a commercial product. After an extensive evaluation, Golf Genius Software was selected.

“We’re delighted and honored to serve the PGA of America for its tournament management needs, which further extends our relationship,” said Golf Genius Software Co-CEO, Mike Zisman.

“Besides managing a number of PGA of America events, Golf Genius provides tournament management solutions to a growing number of PGA Sections. We are also proud to employ 39 PGA Professionals, most of whom are U.S.-based and Members of the PGA of America. In fact, Golf Genius is one of the larger employers of PGA Members and Associates, which we strongly believe is a key factor in driving our rapid growth and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.”

PGA of America Head of Technology, Kevin J. Scott, commented: “We’ve been acquainted with the Golf Genius team for a number of years and have developed an excellent working partnership.

“We’re confident that GGS can replace our highly specialized internal system and pleased that they are delivering a number of enhancements over the next 12 months to meet our unique requirements, including interfaces to our broadcast systems and the ShotLink system. We look forward to deepening our strategic partnership with GGS in the coming years.”
