GCA now includes Buckingham

Bob Buckingham who spent more than 20 years masterminding sales and business development for industry giant Toro is the latest recruit to the expanding Golf Consultants Association (GCA). Buckingham worked for the Toro before starting his own consultancy business, Consult BB, which has included a spell as consulting chief executive officer for grinder specialist Bernhard and Company.

Established in 1999, the GCA has a successful record in providing assistance to the global golf community across a broad spectrum of services. It aims to assist golf course developers and those looking to build successful golf businesses by offering expert and impartial advice. It is an umbrella organisation for a number of golf business experts, each of whom has a track record in delivering outstanding value for golf clients around the globe.

Buckingham said, “I am very pleased and honoured to be a part of this rather auspicious group and hope to bring something new or fresh to the group from possibly a very different part and or perspective of the industry.”

Welcoming Buckingham to the association, GCA chairman Howard Swan said, “I have known Bob for many years and he is a well-known and well-respected figure within the golf industry. We’re delighted he has chosen to join the Golf Consultants Association. When we’re attracting this calibre of individual it is testament to reputation of the association and its members and also to the wide spectrum of services we are now able to offer the golf industry.”
