Galvin Green wins three top golf media awards

Leading high-performance golf apparel brand Galvin Green has been credited with Editor’s choices for the best products of 2020 by three of the world’s most influential golf magazines – with each selecting a different outfit or garment from the latest Part One range.

For the fifth year running, Golf Digest has selected the brand’s premium waterproof suit for its Editor’s Choice award. America’s No.1 golf magazine – reaching more than 14m golfers on various platforms – recognised the flagship ARCHIE jacket in GORE-TEX stretch fabric with a C-KNIT™ backer and matching AXEL pants as the perfect combination to keep golfers dry when playing in wet weather conditions. Both garments are 100% waterproof and offer a GORE-TEX lifetime guarantee.

Galvin Green garments also took Editor’s Choice selections for the third consecutive year at Golf Monthly – Europe’s leading multimedia golf brand reaching more than 2m golfers each month. The brand’s new shell layer APOLLO jacket in GORE-TEX Paclite™ Technology stretch fabric was chosen, along with the warm layer DIXON sweater – made from the lightest and softest ever INSULA™ fabric. Editor Michael Harris described the APOLLO as ‘another waterproof jacket from Galvin Green that delivers on all fronts’, while the DIXON mid-layer garment with a softness next to the skin ‘is the perfect top for chilly days on the course.’

Today’s Golfer, the UK’s most popular monthly title, nominated the LINCOLN half-zip INTERFACE-1 jacket in its 2020 product Awards – the hybrid layer garment designed to wear 95 out of 100 rounds.

“To have five different Galvin Green garments credited by the three top golf publications this year is just amazing,” said CEO Nicholai Stein. “What makes it special, is that these selections are based on the trial experience of editors and writers who have sampled garments from all the leading apparel brands and we’re thrilled to be recognised by them in this way once again,” he added.

The new ARCHIE full-zip jacket is entirely waterproof and extremely breathable. It incorporates GORE-TEX Superstretch inserts on the back and elbows, adjustable chest, collar width and cuffs, elastic drawstring at the hem, water-repellent zipper and shaped sleeves for easy movement throughout the swing. It also incorporates the innovative smooth ‘slide & glide’ inner material, plus Techsteel™ on the shoulders for more durability. There are three colour options in sizes S-3XL at a RRP of £450 / €500.

In addition to the same C-KNIT™ ‘slide & glide’ qualities, the matching Black AXEL trousers come in 16 size options and include an elasticated waist and drawstring for the perfect fit. Features include adjustable leg width, front pockets with fleece lining, two back pockets, a zipper fly opening with water-repellent zippers and extra abrasion resistant fabric at the leg hem. RRP £400 / €450.

The streamlined full-zip waterproof APOLLO jacket features front pockets, cuffs with partial elastic, plus a tab with a touch and close fastener, adjustable chest width, elastic drawstring at the hem and shaped sleeves for easy movement. There are six colour choices, including a Navy, White, Ensign Blue and Barberry red (S-3XL) at RRP of £290 / €340.

The comfortable DECLAN full-zip sweater in warming INSULA™ fabric has a super-soft texture and is excellent to wear next to the skin in cooler conditions. It comes in four colours (S-3XL) at RRP of £115 / €130.

Designed for more golf, the LINCOLN jacket made from INTERFACE-1™ hybrid fabric is totally windproof, while also being extremely breathable. It has a water-repellent finish and elastic cuffs, with an adjustable drawstring at the hem. Available in five colour combinations (S-3XL) at RRP of £190 / €200.
