GALVIN GREEN SECURES A HAT-TRICK OF EDITOR’S CHOICE AWARDS

Premium high-tech golf apparel brand Galvin Green has secured a hat-trick of 2024 Editor’s Choice Awards from three of the UK’s top consumer golf media titles for its top-quality ARMSTRONG and hooded AMOS men’s rain jackets from the new DRYVR™ waterproof line.

Europe’s leading multimedia golf title Golf Monthly and the UK’s top-selling magazine Today’s Golfer both selected the striking ARMSTRONG garment in GORE-TEX Paclite® Stretch fabric for the sought-after awards and remarked how the performance-driven design offers golfers unrestricted movement during the swing.

Giving it the prestigious accolade, Golf Monthly said: “The freedom of movement it allows helps prevent any unwanted feeling of restriction or any potential distance loss when playing in the rain. The material also allows the jacket to be folded neatly and compactly, so it takes up minimal bag space and doesn’t weigh you down if you choose to carry your clubs.”

The Today’s Golfer team highlighted the garment’s lightweight capabilities and said: “The sporty ARMSTRONG GORE-TEX Paclite® jacket weighs in at just 300g (in size medium) and features stretch technology and shaped sleeves to deliver unrestricted movement during your swing. Made using bluesign-approved fabric, this 100% waterproof and windproof jacket also incorporates an adjustable chest and front pockets for increased comfort.”

A great option for golfers with limited space in their golf bag, the ARMSTRONG incorporates a tri-blend design to deliver a super modern look in up to five vibrant colours, including a new, refreshing Navy/Aqua/White option. The jacket is offered in sizes S-3XL.

The editorial team at bunkered recognised the AMOS jacket in its inaugural Editor’s Choice awards, while Gear Editor James Tait has chosen to include it in his bag for 2024. He said: “Living in St Andrews, I need a good waterproof jacket. This year, I’m using this one and I’m sure it will last a long time, too. If you’ve watched our Old Course Reversed video, you’ll see this protected me from the worst that Scotland has to offer.”

The full-zip AMOS in GORE-TEX C-knit™ stretch fabric with slide and glide technology is the brand’s first ever fully waterproof jacket with a fixed hood to offer top protection from the elements both on and off the course. The 100% waterproof and windproof garment also features adjustable cuffs and shaped sleeves for easy movement, plus two front pockets and a chest pocket. It comes in sizes S-3XL and in Navy, Forged Iron, Sharkskin and Blue.

“We are thrilled to receive this top-level recognition for our waterproof jackets from some of the most well-respected golf magazines,” said Galvin Green CEO Nicholai Stein. “These golf writers get to test all the latest rain gear in the marketplace, so it is testament to the meticulous work of our team who responsibly source and manufacture the most remarkable jackets that truly stand the test of time whatever the weather,” he added.
