GALVIN GREEN APPOINTS ITS FIRST UK & IRELAND SALES DIRECTOR

Leading high-tech golf apparel brand Galvin Green has appointed experienced sales leader Stewart Clare to a new role as its Sales Director in the UK & Ireland in a move designed to drive sales of its long-lasting and responsibly sourced golf apparel collections in Europe’s largest market.

Clare, who is based in Derbyshire and has previous golf industry sales experience with Cobra Puma Golf and most recently TravisMathew as Head of Sales & Product EMEA, has assumed responsibility for enhancing the premium brand’s business with existing customers, while also adding more top golfing venues and resort accounts across the UK & Ireland.

“I’m thrilled and very proud to be joining Galvin Green at a time when the brand is leading the way in sustainability which has really impressed me in a fiercely competitive apparel sector,” said Stewart, who brings more than years 25 years of golf industry experience to the role.

“I’ve been a long admirer of Galvin Green golf clothing having previously stocked the brand during my time as a PGA Professional so I know first-hand of the superior quality and top performance offered throughout the entire product line-up. There’s so much potential to boost growth with the brand’s ‘Never Compromise’ approach when it comes to product innovation and I also want to make sure consumers are serviced with a first-class end-to-end retail experience and I can’t wait to get started,” he added.

Commenting on the appointment, Global Sales Director Per Ågren said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for Stewart to be joining us and he’s adding some very valuable experience and refreshing ideas that we believe will drive our UK business to even greater heights.

“We believe his skillset will help us to navigate and make a really positive impact in one of our biggest markets, while his enthusiasm and passion for our responsibly sourced garments was particularly evident during the recruitment process,” he added.

The latest appointment follows the recent hiring of David Birn as Area Manager for the Home Counties and South West in August and Per Ågren’s appointment to the senior management team last year.

Galvin Green offers men, women and junior golfers the greatest depth of choice on the market in terms of garments made with minimal environmental and social impact, using responsibly sourced and independently approved fabrics across most of its collection.
