TGI Golf Partnership Managing Director Eddie Reid has been named among the ‘most powerful in European golf’ by influential US publication Golf Inc.
The list, drawn up by the magazine’s editors, highlights the 15 people who are influencing and impacting golf courses the most in Europe, and also includes Race to Dubai winner Rory McIlroy and Keith Pelley, the Chief Executive of the European PGA Tour.
Reid, who has been at the helm of golf’s leading retail services group since 2007, has overseen continued growth of the company, in terms of both Partner numbers and total profits, with TGI Golf now making up 28 per cent of the UK and Ireland on course golf market.
“It’s obviously a huge honour to be included in this list,” said Reid. “I know it sounds a bit of a cliché, but this is a real reflection on TGI Golf as a whole. We have a first class team that works tirelessly to ensure everything runs smoothly, and approaching 500 high quality PGA Professionals operating excellent businesses.”
