Direct Golf clocks up par 72K MOT

Direct Golf UK has presented Nick Booth from Huddersfield with an Adams hybrid club after becoming the 72,000th customer to undertake a free ‘golf MOT’. Booth, 42, booked the consultation at Direct Golf’s Huddersfield Stadium store which takes 60 minutes and includes assessment on a golf monitor with an appraisal of what is right and wrong; a putting session; club polishing; and free golf tips from Direct Golf advisors.

Simon Corp, marketing manager for Direct Golf UK stated, “The ‘golf MOT’ provides a free opportunity for customers to come in, spend an hour with our advisors and check whether their clubs are, effectively, helping or hindering their game. Many of the people we’ve had through the system have been shocked to discover that the clubs they’re playing with are not ideal for their size or swing, as they’ve not been custom-fitted. With the par on the majority of courses set at 72, we set ourselves a ‘par’ of 72,000 golfers to be ‘MOT tested’ within five years, and we have achieved it with around 12 months to spare. Our next target will be six figures!”
