Dawn breaks for Marverston April opening

Maverston Golf Course is scheduled to open in April as part of the Maverston Highland Estate development, close to the village of Urquhart near Elgin in Scotland. In addition to the main 6,284yd par 70 parkland track there is an additional 9-hole par 3 course. Course architect is former Scottish international golfer Euan McIntosh.

The course is set against the backdrop of the Cairngorm mountains to the south with views towards the Moray Firth from the clubhouse to the north and east. Seven day ordinary membership is £295, with a day green fee set at £30. The management estimate that 12,000 rounds of golf will be played on the course in its first year.

Kieron Gallagher, Golf Manager for Maverston said, “We are still hard at work preparing for the opening in April.”
