Cross Sportswear announces 2016 collection

Cross Sportswear has a new golf collection for 2016 with over 90 men’s and ladies’ garments and accessories. The Swedish brand has unveiled a full range of waterproofs, windwear, knitwear, polo shirts, trousers, shorts, skirts, skorts, base layers and accessories that gives golf retailers the opportunity to offer their customers fully co-ordinated Cross Sportswear outfits for all weather conditions.

Heading the 2016 golf collection is a portfolio of technical rainproof and windproof apparel featuring waterproof, stretchy and breathable fabrics and technologies based on the company’s ‘FTX System’. There’s a choice of three waterproof suit styles: the flagship Edge, mid-range Pro and entry-level Cloud. The Edge Jacket (RRP £217) offers Cross Sportswear’s ultimate ‘Level 1’ protection from the elements but is said to be superlight, soft and quiet, stretchable and comfortable when playing golf.

It features FTX technology, a three-layer sandwich construction of outer shell, membrane and inner lining which delivers the 20,000 mm waterproofing and 20,000 g/m2/24h breathability. With Bemis tape-sealed seams, a water repellent front zipper, adjustable collar, cuffs and hem and microfleece chin guard, it also has a full three-year waterproof guarantee. As well as its outstanding weather beating properties, the Edge also offers four-way stretch which makes it very comfortable.

In a contemporary ‘narrow’ fit, the jacket is available in three colour schemes (charcoal, white, white and charcoal) and sizes S to XXL. A zip-off sleeve, quarter zip Edge pullover is also available in sunburst orange with white sleeves and charcoal back panel, or white with grey sleeves. Matching Edge pants (RRP £173) and Edge chino (RRP £145) waterproof trousers, in waist sizes S to XXL and a variety of leg lengths, complete the set.

Steve Shaw of Cross Sportswear stated, “As a Swedish brand, being at the forefront in seeking and applying the best and latest technologies is one of our highest priorities. As a result, we offer the most playable weatherwear in golf. Over the years Cross Sportswear has acquired unique knowledge and experience in sourcing fabrics and materials for creating garments that allow golfers to perform optimally without being restrained by their clothing. Our garments are designed to give golfers freedom regardless of weather, temperature and other conditions, both on and off the golf course.”
