Counting on Abacus in the rain

Abacus Sportswear has introduced its spring-summer 2015 range, focused around highly technical, functional garments. One of the key new products in the men’s collection is the Walton Sport Rain Jacket, derived from the Walton Rain Jacket, with a enhancements, including shaped and detachable sleeves, added pockets with water-protected zips and a rip-stop structured surface. Other features include an adjustable drawstring collar, protective chin flap and brushed fabric internal collar for additional comfort.

Part of Abacus Sportswear’s StretchDry range, the sealed seam, highly breathable Walton Sport Rain Jacket is said to be 100 percent waterproof, with a Coefficient of Stretch (CoS) of 2.33, meaning the jacket can stretch to nearly two and a half times its original size to provide freedom of motion and comfort.

A new Barton Rain Shirt is another important product within the men’s SS15 line-up. Cut-off sleeves, panelled shoulder detailing and a half-zip, give this garment a ‘sport’ style, and make it fashionable both on and off the golf course. The Taberg Fullzip is a new, highlight product for SS15. With Drycool properties that move perspiration away from the body to the fabric’s outer surface where it can evaporate quickly, it helps the wearer stay dry and comfortable for long periods out on the course.

Sven-Olof Karlsson, CEO and owner of Abacus Sportswear said, “We set ourselves the design challenge of dramatically enhancing some of our most popular products in the new spring-summer 15 range. The new Walton Sport Rain Jacket is just one of many examples in SS15 of how we’ve taken our garments to the next level of performance and comfort.” More at:
