Cobra Puma Golf launches King Ltd driver

Cobra Puma Golf has introduced its Cobra King Ltd driver which is reinforced with TeXtreme. To make the crown lighter Cobra Golf has added TeXtreme, which allows for more weight to be repositioned. By making a lighter with a stronger crown, weight can be redistributed to other areas of the club head delivering better mass properties. This says Cobra Puma results in a higher launch with less spin generating more ball speed for straighter shots and more distance.

TeXtreme is the next generation of carbon fibre material in the sports goods industry. It is based on using ‘spread tows’ instead of yarns to achieve materials that are used to produce ultralight weight and high-performance composite products.

Mike Yagley, director of innovation and research at Cobra Puma Golf stated, “Reducing weight while maintaining strength in very specific areas is critical to the performance of the King Ltd driver. Using TeXtreme in the crown reduced its total weight by 20 percent which a significant amount of weight that has been relocated to make the club head much more efficient at impact.” More at: www.cobragolf.com
