Catalunya Resort bucks the property trend

Three-time Spanish Open venue PGA Catalunya Resort has seen its popularity grow steadily since the residential development started in 2011, reporting sales of more than 30 luxury properties in 2013, bucking current market trends. The 300-hectare estate near Barcelona recently saw Sergio Garcia opening his training academy there and the unveiling of a 2,000 square-metre practice putting and chipping green, said to be the largest in Spain.

The European Tour Destination with views of the Montseny Mountains, has generous plots set away from the fairways for contemporary design villas, comfortable semi-detached properties and modern luxury apartments. It also offers private leisure facilities for residents and a variety of rental opportunities for visitors.

The resort’s location, 25 minutes from the beach and just 37 minutes away from Barcelona via a new high speed rail link, plus local historical and cultural attractions, contribute significantly to its popularity.
