Brand Fusion unveils rake for competitive golfers

Competitive players can maintain golfing etiquette when playing under the COVID-19 golf course restrictions by smoothing over sand bunkers with a new Personal Golf Rake from Brand Fusion International, Europe’s leading golf equipment distributor.

The lightweight, portable rake fits neatly into any golf bag alongside the set of clubs, as the head folds down when not in use to match the length of an average hybrid club. Its sturdy plastic head also incorporates a useful golf ball retriever to regain any ball that finds shallow water.

“The R&A guidelines make it clear that clubs must remove all rakes and ball retrievers from courses during the period of the virus pandemic, but golfers will want to see as many bunkers in good condition as possible during their rounds, especially competitive ones,” said Tony Fletcher, Sales Manager at Brand Fusion. “That’s why the new Personal Golf Rake should prove very popular with serious golfers and greenkeepers alike and add to the enjoyment of each round, while still maintaining the prescribed safety standards,” he added.

Since golf courses reopened in England last month, golfers have been encouraged to repair footprints and pitch marks in bunkers in the ‘old-fashioned way’ – namely with their shoes sweeping across the sandy surface.

“This method will only prove as effective as the golfer being conscientious enough to complete the task as they’d like to find the lie themselves, but is no substitute for a proper raking of the surface,” said Fletcher. “The Personal Golf Rake represents a great opportunity for retailers to offer their customers something extremely practical right now and deliver some welcome additional sales at the same time,” he added.

The Personal Golf Rake has a RRP of £9.99 and can be ordered from a Brand Fusion sales agent or direct from the company.
