Booth promoted GM of Abu Dhabi GC

Abu Dhabi Golf Club has announced the promotion of Paul Booth, formerly director of club operations, to the position of general manager with immediate effect. Troon Golf says the promotion is in recognition of his dedication to deliver exceptional golf experiences in the Middle East, as well as the creation of outstanding events for members and guests to enjoy. The new role will see the Booth working closely with the ownership group to implement key strategies in the advancement of Troon Golf’s exacting standards for service, hospitality and golf course conditioning.

Booth, a member of the PGA, has worked at each level of the golf business, giving him a well-rounded approach collected over 20 years to golf club management. After successful tenures as a coaching professional in the UK, Booth moved to the Middle East in 2001 to develop his management experience of premium golf venues before joining Troon Golf in 2007 as head professional of Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Following three successful years, Booth joined sister venue Saadiyat Beach Golf Club as a key member of its pre-opening team, being appointed director of club operations in July 2011.
