BGL Golf gets top marks for food hygiene

BGL Golf has been awarded a five-star rating by The Food Standards Agency at each of its ten UK venues. BGL Golf – including its flagship property Burhill Golf Club, which has retained its five-star rating for the last 14 years – has ensured that, with focused staff training, a recently introduced standardised menu, and locally sourced produce, the company is delivering quality catering that its customers want

In the last twelve months, BGL Golf has invested more than £1.2million into the café, bar and grill refurbishments at its Nottinghamshire and Kent venues, Ramsdale Park Golf Centre and Birchwood Park Golf Centre respectively.

Colin Mayes, BGL chief executive, said: “With food and beverage sales accounting for more than a third of our business, it’s important we safeguard this revenue and develop it further in the coming years. Our five-star food hygiene certification is just one of the ways in which we can demonstrate to our customers the attention to detail we have with our approach to all aspects of the business which all of us at BGL are very proud of.”
