ASHWORTH GOLF TO DRESS GB TEAM AS THEY COMPETE ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE

Ashworth Golf Company, a leading brand in golf apparel, is thrilled to announce that it has been chosen as the golf clothing partner of the team of deaf athletes who will be representing GB in Tokyo this November at the 2025 Deaflympics.

The DeaflympicsGB Team will be sending 100 athletes and support staff, representing over seven sports: athletics, cycling, football, golf, shooting, swimming and tennis. The five golfers heading to Tokyo, include first timers Aiden Silman and Robbie Cameron and veteran Paul Waring who has won both World and European Deaf Individual Championships as well as Silver at 2017 Deaflympics. Completing the team are Karen Ellam and World and European Champion Lydia Ingman who will be clothed by ProQuip.

“We are delighted to be working with Ashworth,” commented GB Golf Team Captain and bronze medal winner at the 2017 Deaflympics, Steven Cafferty. “Despite this being the second oldest multisport competition after the Olympic games, we get very little financial support, so the support of brands and businesses in the golf industry is extremely valuable.”

The men’s team will be teeing off in The Cool Tech Polo in Chambray, Core Red and Navy, with Navy Tech Stretch Performance Pants and the Comfort Stretch midlayer in Navy, all of which will feature the striking DeaflympicsGB logo.

The Deaflympics are held every four years and are open to deaf athletes with a hearing loss of at least 55dB in their ‘better ear’. Around 3000 deaf athletes representing 80 countries from around the world will be competing between 15th – 26th November in 21 different sports.

“It’s a privilege to be able to support these incredible golfers as they head to Tokyo to compete for DeaflympicsGB,” comments General Manager Ashworth UK Russell Brooks. “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase Ashworth Golf on the international stage and provide clothing that they will feel great in. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to seeing how they place in the medal tables.”
