ASHWORTH ADDS TOUR AUTHENTICITY WITH ROBINSON-THOMPSON DEAL

Ashworth has strengthened its Tour presence after signing DP World Tour player Brandon Robinson-Thompson as a new ambassador.

The Isle of Wight golfer will wear Ashworth apparel for the remainder of the 2026 season and beyond, giving the heritage golf brand increased visibility on the DP World Tour as it continues to grow its modern performance offering.

For retailers, the partnership provides an authentic Tour connection for a brand that already carries strong recognition among golfers. Robinson-Thompson’s association with Ashworth gives stockists a current Tour story to support sell-through, while also tapping into the increasing demand for apparel brands with genuine golfing heritage.

The partnership reflects Ashworth’s aim of combining traditional golf style with modern performance, something that continues to resonate with consumers looking for apparel rooted in the game rather than broader sportswear fashion trends.

Robinson-Thompson has enjoyed a promising start to the 2026 campaign, including a runner-up finish at the Joburg Open before making the cut in his next two starts. He has already worn Ashworth apparel at both the Turkish Airlines Open and the Catalunya Championship.

“We’re delighted to welcome Brandon to the Ashworth family,” said Russell Brooks, GM of the UK and European Licensee of Ashworth. “He represents the future of both the game and the Ashworth brand. He embodies our values and will be an outstanding ambassador for Ashworth around the world. We’re excited to support him as he continues to make his mark on Tour.”

Robinson-Thompson added: “I’m delighted to join Ashworth and represent a brand with such a strong legacy in golf. Some of the best players in the world have worn this brand, and I’m delighted to follow in their footsteps. The combination of style and comfort is what made the brand stand out to me and I’m looking forward to wearing Ashworth apparel as we head into an exciting stretch of the season.”

Golf brands leverage authentic Tour representation to drive consumer confidence and retail engagement, particularly in the apparel category where credibility and visibility remain key purchasing factors.
