American Golf Launches Home In One Pressure Putt Challenge

Starting this week, and running through May, American Golf is giving the U.K’s golfers the chance to top their very own leaderboard and win some great prizes in the Home in One – Pressure Putt Challenge. From Niall Horan to Dan Walker, A.P. McCoy to Jamie Carragher, celebrities and sports stars across the U.K. have battled for top spot on the American Golf Pressure Putt Challenge leaderboard.

The Home in One Challenge can be played with the most basic of kit. Simply mark out ten, 1 ft intervals, get a ball (or 10), a timer and a cup or empty tin to putt into. Then just putt away, moving back a foot for every putt you make. But if you miss one, you have to return to the 1ft mark and the you only have 60 seconds to register your longest putt!

“It’s a great fun game to play but people will be amazed at the pressure you put yourself under when the clock starts ticking,” commented Conrad Edkins, Marketing Director at American Golf. “We’ve had some participants crumble under the pressure, and others that excelled. We want people to post links to their best efforts on our website and you can see where you are on our national leaderboards. But you can also set up mini leagues with your friends and family on the Home in One site, so with an unlimited number of attempts, this could get really competitive!”

Competitors in the Home in One Challenge should video their attempt, post the results to Social Media and post a link to their video at https://homeinone.americangolf.co.uk  A prize of £200 American Golf vouchers is up for grabs for the overall winner, plus prizes for Ladies’ and Junior winners and spot prizes of 12 Titleist Pro V1 balls awarded every Friday during the competition to a randomly selected entrant.

With a lot of time being spent at home, there isn’t a better way to get your putting game in shape. You can take on friends and family on your personal leaderboard and even compete for the main prizes. So set up your Home in One Challenge and see if you can keep a steady aim when your Putting comes under Pressure.
