14th Annual Scottish Golf Show is another swinging success

The organisers of this year’s 14th annual Scottish Golf Show are celebrating yet another swinging success, with this year’s show proving once again to be a huge hit with golf enthusiasts from all over Scotland.  The three-day event took place at the SEC Glasgow from 22-24th March, attracting an impressive 16,969 of Scotland’s most discerning golfers over an action packed weekend featuring top brands, interactive challenges, celebrity guests and more.

This year’s show boasted an all new layout; with brand new challenges, improved interactive features and the show’s first ever 500m² Affordable Golf superstore.  In its first year as the show’s official retail partner, Affordable Golf created a true golfers’ paradise, providing a high quality shopping experience where customers could shop the latest gear and equipment from all the top brands like TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Wilson, PXG and more.

Mark Taylor, Managing Director of Affordable Golf comments:
“We were delighted to be the Official Retail Partner of the Scottish Golf Show for the first time this year.  It was an excellent three days – the hall was constantly busy and this gave us the opportunity to showcase our brands in front of thousands of Scotland’s most knowledgeable golfers, resulting in exceptionally strong retail sales across the weekend.”

As well as trying out the latest equipment from all the big brands at the show’s enormous indoor driving range, visitors could enjoy free lessons with PGA professionals and take part in over 20 interactive challenges.  New features like the first-ever Argyll Holidays’ Target Golf game proved extremely popular, with classic challenges like Ladbrokes’ Golf Darts and the show’s custom-made Bunker Challenge attracting huge crowds.

Julia Girvan, Events Manager for show organisers PSP Media Group says;
“Each year we aim to come back bigger and better than ever before, and this was certainly the case for 2019.   With massive numbers of tickets sold before the event, we knew the weekend was going to be full of fun and entertainment and, judging by the reaction of the visitors and exhibitors – some of whom travelled from all over the world to be here – this was definitely the case.”

Following the show, organisers and exhibitors have been inundated with messages on social media from satisfied customers who have been quick to praise the flawless execution of such a large-scale event.

There will be little time to celebrate the success of this year’s show, however, as plans are already well underway for 2020’s landmark 15th show.  Julia adds;

“With every successful event that we deliver, we also learn a great deal about how we can grow and develop for future years.  We’ve listened to lots of customer feedback and we’re already working on ideas for our 15th anniversary show, which really will surpass all expectations and give our guests another unforgettable experience.  Watch this space for more details!”
