SLDR scores Golf Digest perfect score

At the 2014 PGA Show it was revealed that TaylorMade’s SLDR driver had become the first driver ever to score full marks in the renowned Golf Digest Hot List

Not only is the TaylorMade SLDR the most played driver on both the PGA Tour and European Tour, but it is now also the first driver to earn five stars in the equipment Hot List published by leading American consumer title, Golf Digest. The SLDR scored top marks in the categories of Performance, Innovation, Look/Sound/Feel and Demand.

“The driver results of the 2014 Golf Digest Hotlist test are consistent with what we have seen over the last five months with not only PGA and European Tour players, but golfers of all skill levels,” says Sean Toulon, TaylorMade Executive Vice President. “Because of the low and forward centre of gravity placement, golfers are adding loft to their SLDR drivers to achieve massive distance gains. When you can hit your tee shot higher with little spin, the ball is going to carry longer and hit the ground running. I truly believe we are entering another replacement cycle for drivers because those without low and forward CG placement simply won’t perform as well.”

SLDR was first played on the PGA and European Tour in July 2013.
