OPEN VENUES BENEFIT FROM MOTOCADDY RENTAL RELIABLITY

A host of Open venues are reaping the benefits of Motocaddy rental fleets, including some who have recently switched to the new M5 GPS models.

Prestigious clubs like Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) – the next venue of The Open Championship after the 150th showpiece at St Andrews this year – and Prestwick, the birthplace of golf’s oldest Major have heaped praise on their Motocaddy rental fleet for its reliability and ease of use for members and guests from all over the world.

The global brand which facilitates more than 1,000 golf clubs across Europe with its M-Series rental trolleys, powered by longer-lasting 28V Lithium batteries provides head professionals with not just a premium product that is reliable, easy to setup and use out on the golf course, but also offers a high return on investment.

“The feedback from all golfers we get on a consistent basis has been excellent,” said John Heggarty, Head Professional of Royal Liverpool Golf Club, host of the 151st Open Championship next year. “The fleet sits outside the shop, looks very smart in the livery and it’s very helpful to have the rental signage too as itenhances sales and customer awareness.

“The GPS system works really well and is extremely effective to help golfers on their round, but also with enjoyment levels too. They’re also extremely reliable and the lifespan of the batteries is exceptionally good,” he added.

Having a rental fleet as well as human caddies is also something John and his team have had to work around.

“Obviously the summer period is busier as it is everywhere and through the better golfing months we have a caddie system too, but for whatever reason we can’t satisfy the demand for human caddies then the GPS system on a Motocaddy M5 rental is the next best thing to having a caddie.

“We now have an extended fleet here, so the demand is easier to manage and customers and members are more aware of the fleet too,” he added.

David Fleming, Head Professional at Prestwick Golf Club adds the team behind the fleet is just as good as the trolleys themselves. “We moved to Motocaddy rentals from another trolley company in March and I wish we’d have done it sooner. From day one our local rep has been fantastic to work with and the whole experience of working with the brand has been exceptional.

“The trolleys are fantastic and every customer, both members and guests have commented on the ease of use, build quality, the reliability, the brightness of the screen and from our point of view, the setup is so simple. I’d recommend Motocaddy rentals to any other Head Professional or Director of Golf,” he added.

“It’s great to hear how happy these famous golf clubs are with our rental trolleys and how easy they are to set up on a daily basis, which provides the next best thing to having a human caddie,” said Steve Morris, Sales & Customer Service Director of Motocaddy UK & Ireland.

“Our sales team works incredibly hard to ensure every customer is happy and nothing is ever too much trouble. Other prestigious venues like Royal Troon and Royal Porthcawl have also recently changed to our rental fleet at a time when they expect to be at their busiest, which is another huge vote in confidence for us,” he added.
