Wolsey has released a ‘Pioneers’ video on YouTube to coincide with the launch of its autumn-winter 2014 collection, which is available from August. The video features Wolsey brand ambassadors including tour players Robert Rock, Tom Lewis (pictured) and James Heath, and polar explorer Alex Hibbert and is themed on Wolsey’s spirit of adventure dating back to the company’s founding in 1755.
Wolsey says its Sportsman range uses traditional British menswear colours in a clean and subtle manner, combining with minimal and strong textual patterns to create a ‘less-is-more’ aesthetic. The silhouette that is more middle ground than slim and the collection includes performance merino polo shirts, base layers, knitwear and pants, as well as breathable, waterproof and multi-layered outerwear. Many pieces rely on Invista Thermocool technology that Wolsey claims dual regulates body temperature to ensure the sportswear is ‘fit for purpose’.
Louis Wolcott, Wolsey’s global brand director commented, “From the moment this collection was announced there’s been a steady buzz in the golf and fashion communities. This video builds upon that excitement by showcasing our garments in a distinctively cool, stylish and athletic manner.”
