Updated range of shafts from Diamond Golf

A full range of new and updated Mitsubishi Rayon wood, hybrid and iron shafts is on offer for 2016 from Diamond Golf International, the sole UK distributor of MRC Golf. Inc. shafts.

WOOD SHAFTS:

The KURO KAGE XM Series for woods includes four offerings (XM50, XM60, XM70 and XM80) with four flexes from regular to Tour-stiff and a total of 13 different weights from 52-85 grams. Made exclusively at the MRC Golf facilities in Toyohashi, Japan, the XM profiles features two key technologies: Low Resin Content (LRC) Prepreg and Titanium Nickel (TiNi) Wire.

Featuring a softer mid-section to promote increased launch, the addition of TiNi wire in the tip-section to the XM series provides maximum stability through impact and delivers a potent combination of power and control. The shaft is finished in a rich ION Plating.

Diamond Gold is also introducing the new KURO KAGE Black TiNi Series for woods, now with Titanium Nickel (TiNi) Wire added to the tip section for players looking to control launch and spin while shaping shots. This classic smooth bend profile is the perfect complement to the lower-launching, lower-spinning Kuro Kage Silver TiNi.

In all, there are four models (TiNi50, 60, 70 and 80) with 11 weights and flexes from light through to extra stiff. There’s also been developments to the ever-popular Diamana range with the next generation Diamana S+PLUS Limited Edition.

HYBRID SHAFTS:

The range of Mitsubishi utility club shafts from Diamond Golf include the KURO KAGE Silver TiNi Hybrid. Titanium Nickel (TiNi) Wire has been added to this tip-stiff profile to match performance characteristics of the KURO KAGE™ Silver TiNi Wood Series and produce a more penetrating ball flight. Six shafts in Regular, Stiff and Tour Stiff (TX) flexes are available, with shaft weights ranging from 80-100 grams.

Also on offer is the KURO KAGE Black Hybrid, whose stable and versatile profile is designed to match the performance characteristics of the KURO KAGE Black Wood and Iron shafts. Delivering mid launch and mid spin, there is a combination of six different shaft flex and weight combinations.

 IRONS SHAFTS:

The new KURO KAGE TiNi Iron shafts were developed to complement the family of wood and hybrid shafts containing TiNi Wire. This next generation shaft incorporates Titanium Nickel (TiNi) Wire to the Low Resin Content (LRC) prepreg and a smooth overall bend profile with a lower balance point, allin a premium constant weight iron product. The design and materials provide better swing weight without added clubhead weight and increased stability.

In all, there are 49 different combinations of flex and shaft weight on offer, making this shaft perfect for custom-fitting. Elsewhere, a lightweight unitized hybrid/iron shaft, the BASSARA E-Series Iron, allows players to build complete sets of lightweight irons and hybrids to match their woods, allowing for consistency throughout the bag.

Daren Treacy of Diamond Golf Internationa commentedl: “We are delighted to be able to offer an exceptional breadth of Mitsubishi Rayon shafts, which continue to be the most successful on Tour and consistently bring game-changing technologies to market.

“We are very impressed by the results shown by introducing TiNi – a super-premium, highly elastic wire with a unique ability to stretch and then immediately spring back to its original. Adding it to the tip section increases stability and energy release through the impact zone, adding explosive power. Essentially, it helps store and release both energy and power into a shot.”
