Titleist makes it a weekend double-header

Titleist had winners on both sides of the Atlantic at the weekend. Playing the Pro V1x Jamie Donaldson claimed a two shot victory at the D+D Real Czech Masters, his third European Tour victory. The Welshman closed with a final round of 68 to post a 14-under par, 274 total, securing his place in this year’s European Ryder Cup team at Gleneagles. As well as being the choice of the winner at the event, Titleist golf balls were also the overwhelming choice of the field, with 112 of the 156 players using a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 21.

At The Barclays held at Ridgewood Country Club, New Jersey, Hunter Mahan playing a Pro V1x finished two strokes clear of the field with a final round of 65 for a 14-under par, 270 strokes finish. Titleist was also the top golf ball of choice at the Barclays with 70 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 15. Titleist also led the equipment counts for irons and wedges at the tournament.
