TGI announces Partner Awards shortlist

The TGI Golf Partnership, the retail services group owned by PGA Professionals, has announced the shortlists for its partner awards. The four awards – New Partner of the Year, Most Improved Business, Pro Shop of the Year and the marquee Partner of the Year – will be awarded at a gala dinner, staged at the Marriott Worsley Park in February. The event will bring together leading figures from within the golf industry and takes place on the first evening of the group’s two-day Business Conference, which gives partners the opportunity to enhance their business knowledge through a range of educational seminars staged by influential figures from inside and out of the golf industry.

Conor McKenna (Concra Wood), Dave Delaney (Halifax Bradley Hall), Michael McAllan (Elgin) and Mike Bradley (Notts Holinwell) are the four PGA Professionals up for the main award of the evening – Partner of the Year. The shortlist for Pro Shop of the Year includes Ian Mowbray (Liphook), John Hinchliffe (Snainton Golf Centre), Martyn Huish (North Berwick) and Robert Giles (Greenore).

Alistair Welsher (Tiverton), Ben Waller (Kendal), Jason Boyd (Montrose Links) and Stephen Ennis (Balcarrick) contend for Most Improved Business, while Aaron Pheasant (Hull), Chris Robinson (Portpatrick), Eamonn Brady (Clontarf) and Martin Brown (Delamere) will contest New Partner of the Year.

As well as the four partner awards, there are also awards for Partner Suppliers, including Product of the Year, Apparel Supplier of the Year, Hardware Supplier of the Year and the main Supplier of the Year Award. The winners of these awards are decided by the group’s partners via TGI’s annual in-depth Supplier Survey, where PGA professionals score each supplier on a number of factors including customer service, quality and price.

Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Managing Director, said, “Congratulations to all those who have been nominated. Every year it is harder for the panel to draw up the shortlist due to the high standards our partners set across the board. Those partners nominated have gone above and beyond to ensure first class service, a successful business and quality pro shop.” More at: www.tgigolf.com
