Stewart on his bike for Sparks

Stewart Golf CEO Mark Stewart is taking part in the Prudential RideLondon 100 mile cycle challenge to raise money for Sparks Charity. Stewart Golf has a long association with Sparks, since the charity’s first golf day in 2007.

As well as taking part in a number of challenges including triathlons, ‘tough mudders’ and cycling, Stewart Golf also supplies trolleys for auction at Sparks fundraising dinners. Stewart Golf sponsors the ‘Sparks Celebrity Order of Merit’ which takes place each year at numerous golf days. Over the years, the partnership has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the pioneering children’s medical research which Sparks funds.

Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into the Surrey countryside, taking in the gruelling Leith Hill and Box Hill climbs before finishing at Buckingham Palace.

CEO Mark Stewart said, “When the call came from Sparks to take part I couldn’t say no, despite having only a few months to prepare for it. I took part in 2013 as part of a series of challenges, it’s an iconic event and one of the hardest challenges I have ever taken on. The support of my friends, family, colleagues, suppliers and customers is greatly appreciated.”
