PowaKaddy extends partnership with PGA

PowaKaddy has signed a new three-year agreement to continue as an Official Supplier of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA), cementing a successful relationship that dates back to 2009.

Signalling an increased level of investment to one of golf’s leading governing bodies, the latest partnership will see PowaKaddy supporting the PGA at all levels of the game with its world-class range of electric trolleys, cart bags, batteries and accessories. After one of the brand’s most successful years in its history PowaKaddy has upped its financial backing to the growing family of PGA Professionals to help them deliver an even better experience for their customers.

Following the launch of its 2016 range of Freeway trolleys PowaKaddy has also put extra resource behind its increasingly-popular rental scheme. Working closer with PGA Professionals than ever before, the brand is set to back hundreds of golf clubs with the type of reliable, high-performance rental fleets that helped several businesses generate up to £15,000 in revenue over the course of just six months in 2015. This success has already led to the likes of Gleneagles in Scotland and Fleetwood Golf Club near Blackpool putting PowaKaddy rental fleets into play for 2016.

“We’re absolutely delighted to extend our excellent partnership with the PGA and look forward to working with them to help grow the game at all levels over the next three years,” said PowaKaddy Chairman John deGraft-Johnson. “We pride ourselves on improving performance and making the game more enjoyable and accessible for golfers – key factors for PGA Professionals when delivering the very best in service for their customers.

The PGA’s deputy chief executive, Robert Maxfield, said: “PowaKaddy has been a valued member of the PGA Official Supplier programme since 2009 and The PGA is delighted they have extended this partnership for a further three years. We look forward to continuing to work closely with PowaKaddy at our PGA branded facilities while they continue to also enjoy bringing many commercial benefits to PGA Members and across the sport in general by making the game more enjoyable for all.”

PowaKaddy will also be supporting PGA Professionals with its most extensive marketing campaign to date. The brand is undertaking a forward-thinking, multi-platform PR & advertising campaign that’s set to expose PowaKaddy to millions of golfers – whether that’s through print, digital or social media. In store, a Point of Sale brings the range to life through new plinths, standees, brochures and posters. A significant investment has also been made on new hi-tech videos which highlight the key selling points and features of the latest range.
