Poults picks a wild one

At the end of July Ian Poulter will join 96 junior golfers for the annual Ian Poulter Invitational to be held at Woburn Golf Club. For this year’s event, IJP Design is calling on junior golfers to get creative with a chance to win a wildcard spot in the event.

With Ian Poulter returning to Woburn Golf Club, his clothing and lifestyle brand, IJP Design is calling on junior golfers to post creative videos of their golf swing, trick shots or simply describing why they should win a wildcard slot at the 2015 Invitational.

Players will need to register online to be in with a chance to win the sought-after place by 5 June. The ten top video entries posted which must include the Twitter handle @IJPDesign and hashtag #IJPWildcard, will gain the spot.

Entrants have to be under 18 years of age with a maximum 16 handicap to qualify. The winner will receive rare one-on-one time with Ian as he tours the course to give hands-on professional guidance to each player, as well as top tips and practical advice during the afternoon’s IJP Clinic.

On the day, each player will be given the opportunity to have their photograph taken with Ian, as well as receiving a tailored goody bag, with lots of golf-related gifts, including an item from the IJP Design Collection. Prizes will be awarded in a number of categories, including ‘Best Gross Score and ‘Best Net Score’, as well as ‘Best Dressed’.

Ian Poulter commented, “I’m passionate about providing junior golfing talent a platform to develop their skills and experience playing a championship course under competitive conditions. Opportunities like this weren’t available to me when I was growing up and it’s a privilege to share this day with youngsters that have a genuine enthusiasm and commitment to the sport and I’m always impressed by the standard of golf these girls and boys are playing.” Enter at: www.ijpdesign.com/global/wildcard-invitational
