Poulter backs National Golf Month

Ian Poulter is the latest golfing legend to support National Golf Month, the initiative to get 100,000 people playing golf this year.

National Golf Month, which takes place this May, also enjoys the backing of fellow golf stars, Paul McGinley, Charlie Hull and Melissa Reed as well as TV presenters Naga Munchetty and Georgie Bingham.

Poulter said, “I’m fully behind the great initiative that is National Golf Month. The more people we can get out playing, the better, and hopefully this will help people realise that it’s a fun, healthy and sociable thing to do!”

Each ambassador is dedicated to raising the profile of golf as a fun activity for all the family although this year’s focus is on getting more women, young people and lapsed golfers into the sport.

Doug Poole, National Golf Month’s Project Director, said: “It’s an honour that someone of Ian’s stature is joining our list of ambassadors. We want to engage as many people as possible with this initiative, Ian’s help will certainly raise awareness of golf and inspire everyone to give golf a go.”

National Golf Month is widely supported by golfing organisations, brands, golf clubs and driving ranges offering deals and experiences that fall into the following areas which have been specially tailored to get ladies, children and lapsed golfers back on the course.
