New footwear from Adidas

Two new shoes have been introduced by Adidas Golf featuring the company’s gripmore technology, said to combine the performance benefits of spiked and spikeless footwear into one. Unlike traditional spiked golf shoes that require receptacles to house cleats on the sole, gripmore cleats are directly injected onto lightweight mesh matting inclusive of hundreds of microspikes for more traction and stability.

The first of two models to feature gripmore technology, the adicross gripmore has 43 gripmore cleats with sport-styling, choice of colours and full grain leather upper. With a more athletically-inspired design, the 360 gripmore sport features a waterproof mesh upper with and a powerband chassis for increased stability. Both shoes have a recommended retail price is £99.99.

Justin Rose wore the adicross gripmore at the WGC-Cadillac Championship in March and commented, “I’m always looking for footwear that provides traction without compromising comfort, style or on-course performance. With gripmore, I have the versatility of a spikeless shoe combined with the performance of a cleated shoe. It’s the best of both styles.”
