New flagship superlite bag from Sun Mountain

Sun Mountain is introducing a flagship waterproof carry bag model as part of its comprehensive range for the 2017 season that offers golfers a choice from seven stand bags.

The collection also introduces a new premium Leather Collection to the golf bag market, plus upgrades to the popular Three5 and Four5 styles in the lightweight stand-bag category driven by the brand.

“The 2017 Sun Mountain bag range is packed with super- lightweight and super-looking bags,” said Tony Fletcher, Brand Fusion UK Sales Manager. “Golfers are going to love the colour combinations as well as the quality features that the brand has become synonymous with after three decades of dedicated design and production.”

Weighing just 1.8 kg, the Sun Mountain H2NO Superlite bag maintains the brand’s strong pedigree in lightweight, waterproof bags. While retaining tried-and-tested components from previous top-selling models, it incorporates added features for improved performance and easier use, such as a wider flared top width with four full-length club dividers and a new lift assist lip under the ball pocket. Contents are kept dry at all times with the help of YKK zips protecting four accessory pockets, including a full length clothing pocket. Available in four striking colourways, the Superlite comes complete with a Teflon-coated rainhood.

Brand new for 2017, the Sun Mountain Leather Collection is designed for golfers wanting to combine modern functionality with traditional styling in their stand bag. There are four classic colour choices: black/tan; dark brown/khaki; navy/white/red; and black/cobalt.

Crafted from the finest 100% Mongolian yak leather, the bags feature ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre legs, five accessory pockets, a 23cm leather-wrapped four-way top with full-length club dividers and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Alongside the newcomers, several models from the Sun Mountain 2016 range have been improved by adding new features and colourways. The new Four5 LS (RRP £189) weighs 10% less than its predecessor the Four5, but incorporates two more pockets making a total of eight, plus a new lift assist lip handle. The new version of the Three5 LS (RRP £179) is also lighter by 30%, weighing just 1.75kg, while still maintaining the premium quality that comes as standard.

The H2NO Superlite has an RRP of £209 and is available from November with the other bags in the waterproof range, with the remaining new models becoming available in early 2017. The Leather Collection, retailing from £469, will be on sale in March 2017.
