Motocaddy S1 voted ‘Trolley of the Year’

It was a hat-trick of wins when the latest version of the Motocaddy S1 – introduced in March – was voted ‘Trolley of the Year’ at the 2016 Foremost Golf Industry Awards last week. Previous versions of the evergreen entry-level S1 model had won the same title in 2014 and 2015.

This year’s award from more than 950 Foremost Golf members follows record sales figures for the S1 this year – accounting for more than a third (38%) of all electric trolleys sold in the UK between March and October*. More than 90% of these sales have been with a Lithium battery.

“We’re delighted to win this award with the S1 for a third consecutive year,” said Sales Director Neil Parker. “And we’re also extremely grateful for the fact that Motocaddy models received more than 80% of votes in the trolley category from our valued retail partners. It spurs us on to introduce more product innovations and offer even better service in the future,” he added.

The S1’s unprecedented share of the market for a single model equates to nearly twice as many sales as the next best-selling trolley in the domestic market and has helped Motocaddy extend its market share to 64%, or almost two-thirds of all powered trolley units sold in the UK so far this year.

Motocaddy products made up three of the four shortlisted nominations in the Awards’ trolley category – with the S1 being joined by the S3 PRO and M1 PRO – the latter having previously won the ‘Most Innovative Product’ award in 2013 and 2014.

The new S1 model features a soft-touch ergonomic handle, nine speed settings, low profile quick release wheels and the exclusive QUIKFOLD mechanism to make it easier to assemble and fold down.

The trolley has a recommended retail price of £299.99 with Lead-acid battery, £399.99 with standard Lithium and £449.99 for the extended Lithium option.
