Mitsubishi Rayon/Graphite Shafts to change name

Effective April 1, 2017 Mitsubishi Rayon Co., LTD. will officially change its name to Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) completing the integration with its parent company Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (MCHC).

MCHC officially acquired Mitsubishi Rayon in April 2010. Following the acquisition Mitsubishi Rayon has continued to operate under its current name, but as part of the MCHC family.

The official name change to Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), will also impact two additional MCHC consolidated subsidiaries – Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc.

Mitsubishi Rayon’s global golf shaft divisions will continue to operate in the same capacity and structure under the new organization with a new name.

Beginning in April the global golf shaft division will begin the process of changing the branding on all products, marketing and promotional materials going forward to align with the new MCHC structure. No changes to products, operations, or personnel will occur.
