Mini golf comes to Cardiff

Treetop Adventure Golf, Wales’ first indoor mini golf attraction opens in April at St David’s shopping centre, Cardiff. Ex-city worker turned entrepreneur Elizabeth Perrin and experienced leisure operator Chris Richards are behind the project costing in excess of £1.5 million.

The 15,000 square foot unit will contain two indoor 18-hole adventure golf courses set within a South American inspired rainforest, together with a clubhouse bar and café. Customers will have the choice of playing the Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer, designed and built by leading American specialists Castle Golf. Both courses will be packed with sound and lighting effects together with exciting feature scenes.

Perrin quit her city job in 2013 to set up Discovery Adventure Golf, the company behind Treetop Adventure Golf. Having played mini golf on holiday growing up she felt there was a real opportunity to reinvent the activity for the UK leisure market. The Cardiff site will be the company’s flagship course and will be the first step in building a chain of indoor adventure golf courses across the UK and continental Europe.
