Lynn lands 21st Beko Classic Pro-Am Title

England’s David Lynn carded a three-under par 70 at National Golf Club in Turkey to take the 2017 Beko Classic Pro-Am honours.

The former European Tour Professional and 2013 Portugal Masters winner was able to move up from second after five birdies and two bogeys gave a six-under par total (213), seeing him claim the $10,000 winner’s cheque and his first PGAs of Europe Sanctioned Event title.

“I came out here with zero expectations having retired from tournament golf,” said Lynn.  “My practice round was awful, but I managed to shoot a good score in Round 01 and continued from there so I’m delighted.

“I started a bit poorly today but then managed to string some birdies together, including on the last which I didn’t know at the time was to pip it by one. I’ve had some super teams…and out here you meet some great people, and that’s why we’re out here, having fun with it all.”

Fellow Englishman and PGA EuroPro Tour Professional, Andrew Marshall, also shot a 70 but was just one shot short of the target finshing at five-under par (214) for the week.

Overnight leader, Georg Schultes (PGA of Austria), could not capitalise on his lead but still shot a steady level-par 73 for third place at four-under (215).
