International success for Stuburt

Stuburt, a British brand dating back to 1860, has expanded its export business and is now selling shoes, shirts and gloves internationally as far afield as the Philippines.

The brand has been making high-quality shoes since 1860, kitting out some of the top performers in the worlds of yachting, ice-skating, football and golf, including 2011 Open Champion and 2016 European Ryder Cup Captain Darren Clarke. In recent years, the brand has branched out successfully into the world of golf apparel and accessories. Stuburt has enjoyed international success in recent years, selling in European countries like Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Austria, France, Spain and Holland. The company is now branching out into the lucrative Asian market with sales now taking place in the Philippines.

Stuburt shoes, shirts and gloves are being sold in the Philippines through J-Ten Sports Inc. and the company is looking to heighten Stuburt brand awareness in the country by sponsoring local professional golfers.

“It’s very exciting to move into the expansive and growing Asian market,” said Stuburt’s Managing Director Graeme Stevens. “We know that golfers there will appreciate the affordable quality of the products we can offer.”
