Great Weekend for Titleist with 6 Tour Wins

Titleist enjoyed a succesful weekend recording six wins by Pro’s using the companies products.

Morten Ørum Madsen won his first career European Tour title at the Tour’s 2013-14 season-opening South African Open. The Danish player completed a two-stroke victory after closing with a final round of 67 to finish on a 19-under par, 269 victory total. Madsen was joined in the winners’ circle this weekend by Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott, who continued his impressive form to claim victory for Australia at the ISPS HANDA World Cup of Golf, plus 4 further Titleist golf ball loyalists who won on the LPGA Tour, Japan Tour, Australasian Tour and China Tour respectively.

Madsen trusted a full bag of Titleist equipment for his success at Glendower Golf Club, including the Pro V1x golf ball, 913D3 driver, 913F fairway metal, 913H hybrid, 712U 3-iron, 714 MB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled pitching, sand and lob wedges, and a Scotty Cameron Newport putter. He finished two shots clear of fellow Pro V1x loyalists Jbe Kruger and Hennie Otto who tied for second place.

At the ISPS HANDA World Cup of Golf, Adam Scott trusted Titleist (Pro V1) from tee-to-green to continue his winning streak in Australia having won the Australian PGA and Australian Masters in the two previous weeks. Scott closed with a final round of 66 to finish alone in third place and lead him and his teammate 10-stroke overall victory over the United States team, which included Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Kevin Streelman.

Elsewhere, on the Japan Tour, Luke Donald fired a final round 66 to successfully defend his title at the Dunlop Phoenix and earn his first victory of the year (Titleist Pro V1x)  . The Englishman posted a 14-under par, 270 total, to finish six strokes clear of the field.

On the LPGA Tour, it was a 1-2 finish for Titleist Pro V1x loyalists at the season-ending CME Group Titleholders where Shanshan Feng claimed her third win of the year by closing with a final round 66 to take a one stroke victory over Gerina Piller.

On the Australasian Tour Aaron Price trusted a full bag of Titleist equipment to take the NSW Open Championship title. Price finished four shots clear of fellow Brand Ambassador Jack Wilson (Pro V1) and golf ball loyalists Adam Bland (Pro V1x) and Aaron Townsend (Pro V1), as nine of the top-10 finishers trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success. On the China Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Guang Ming Yang captured the Chongqin Championship by closing with a final round of 70 en route to a 14-under par, 274 winning total. Eight of the 13 players who finished amongst the top-10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success. These victories take Titleist’s 2013 golf ball win count to 155 across worldwide professional tours, compared to 39 for the nearest competitor.
