Power management company Eaton has announced that its Golf Pride Grips Division was the leading swing grip and putter grip brand played at the 116th U.S. Open.
The number one Grip in Golf claimed 9 players who finished in the top 10, including the 2016 champion, who relied on Tour Velvet model grips in his first career major victory. In all, 118 players competing at the 2016 U.S. Open trusted their games to Golf Pride grips, with the nearest competitor having 17.
“Over the past decade, 9 out of 10 U.S. Open Champions have relied on Golf Pride,” said Brandon Sowell, global sales and marketing director for Golf Pride. “We genuinely appreciate that our performance grips are the last thing a player has in his hands before raising the championship trophy, including at one of the game’s biggest events – the U.S. Open. To see that our products are consistently trusted to perform under golf’s most demanding conditions and that they continue to deliver is both rewarding and inspiring to our future innovations.”
Through the 2016 U.S. Open, 80 per cent of the top ten players in the Official World Golf Rankings trust their games to Golf Pride grips.
