Golf fest at Windermere GC

Windermere Golf Club has held its annual ‘Festival of Golf Week’, with more than 600 competitors from across the UK descending on the South Lakes club to enjoy the game. The event, which has now been held for the seventh year at Windermere, was once again sponsored by Carlisle based accountancy firm, Lamont Pridmore. Ladies, mens, mixed and senior competitions were held over the course of seven days, with four open competitions and the Lamont Pridmore golf day held during the week. There were also a number of social events, for those who wished to partake.

The popularity of the event is growing year on year, as Captain, Clive Matthews explained, “The ‘festival of golf’ week is always a great success and this year was no different. We were delighted to welcome more than 600 competitors from across the country and by all accounts, a fantastic time was had by all. Even the weather stayed relatively fine! We would also like to extend grateful thanks – once again – to Lamont Pridmore, who have now sponsored this event for six years. We welcome their continued support and indeed, look forward to an even bigger ‘festival of golf’ in 2016!”
