Foremost Golf adds backing to National Golf Month

Foremost Golf participating professionals will provide new and lapsed players with a free half hour lesson as part of the National Golf Month activities this May. The group’s members will also be encouraging their local club members to bring along a friend for a free shared lesson with the ‘Introduce a Friend’ free lesson promotion designed to increase the likelihood of a new or lapsed golfer staying in the game.

The ‘Introduce a Friend’ offer will be backed by extensive digital and in-store promotion. Each new or lapsed player will be offered a subsequent six for five promotion to encourage them to take a further series of lessons.

Paul Hedges, CEO of Foremost commented, “We are delighted to announce that Foremost Golf is to lend its full support to National Golf Month this May. It has been well documented that participation has been falling and it is incumbent on all of us within the industry to try to rectify that situation. We see National Golf Month as an ideal vehicle to attract new players and to entice a large number of lapsed golfers back into the game. It is good for golf at both a local and national level and represents an ideal opportunity for Foremost members to reach out to a whole new customer base but ultimately to grow the game locally as well as nationally.”
