FootJoy unveil HYPERFLEX II

FootJoy have introduced HYPERFLEX II, featuring a reimagined BioMorph exoskeleton upper designed to mimic the ligaments of the foot. The latest shoe in FJ’s HYPERFLEX family features a tight-knit, lightweight, soft, flexible, waterproof mesh upper, which allows for maximum comfort, breathability and flexibility.

The second generation HYPERFLEX boasts a newly designed FlexGrid 3.0 BioMorph upper pattern which is fused to the underlying mesh. Designed to mimic and work in unison with the ligaments of the foot, the new BioMorph pattern allows for more natural movement and flexibility whilst walking and swinging, all the while delivering the required lateral stability.

“With the new BioMorph upper, our goal was to strike a balance between structure and flexibility and deliver those benefits in the exact locations they’re needed,” said Doug Robinson, VP of Golf Footwear WW. “We accomplished this by studying the physiology of the human foot and building an upper that worked in unison with the musculature and tendons of the foot to give the golfer a shoe that will move when they need it to and provide support when they need it.”

Since its inception, the HYPERFLEX family of golf shoes has been worn by several of the world’s best players, including newly crowned USPGA Champion, Jimmy Walker, as well as Rafa Cabrera Bello, Alexander Levy and Joost Luiten.

 Key Features and Benefits:

  • FlexGrid 3.0 BioMorph upper

The high-performance upper material defines the aesthetics of HYPERFLEX but also has a highly functional purpose. The soft and comfortable material helps to control the foot during the swing and retain its shape over time. Incorporating a breathable membrane, the shoe comes with a one year waterproof guarantee.

  • FineTunedFoam 2.0

The inclusion of FTF 2.0 provides the exceptional comfort of HYPERFLEX II. The next-generation midsole, constructed out of a softer and lighter EVA blend, delivers supercharged cushioning for the ultimate in comfort.

  • O.P.S.

Visible at the rear of the shoe, the Optimised Performance Stabiliser provides support and motion control towards the heel, providing golfers the stability they require to take their swing to the next level.

  • N.E.O.

Next Evolutionary Outsole, equipped with ‘Tornado’ Cleats by SoftSpikes, has been specifically engineered with thin TPU that provides flexible-yet-durable underfoot traction elements that utilise the Fast-Twist® insert system.
