FootJoy win double award

FootJoy were awarded the ‘Shoe of the Year’ and ‘Apparel Supplier of the Year’ accolades at the 2015 Foremost Golf Awards ceremony held in Harrogate on 7 October.

The Mark of a Player brand’s Contour Series shoe was crowned as golf’s ‘Shoe of the Year’ at the evening event hosted by BBC 5 Live golf presenter Iain Carter, edging out three other shoe nominees. Meanwhile, in recognising an extremely strong year for its range of high-performance clothing and increased trade support behind it, FootJoy was chosen as ‘Apparel Supplier of the Year’.

The awards were voted by members of Foremost Golf, the largest buyer and seller of golf products in the UK, many of whom attended the ceremony at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate as part of the 2015 Golf Show.

“We’re extremely proud to win both of these awards and would like to thank all Foremost members for their continued support over the last year,” commented FootJoy sales and marketing director Richard Fryer. “Models like the Contour have helped increase shoe sales for Pros across the UK and Ireland and it’s equally pleasing to see how well our apparel range has sold in 2015. We look forward to working even more closely with our retail partners in the future.”

“The Contour Series has deservedly been recognised by the Foremost membership for the ‘Best Shoe’ award. FootJoy provide Foremost members with an Exclusive line Contour range that is of the highest quality but also importantly delivers members enhanced margin back to their business,” said Andy Martin, Foremost company director.

“We are already excited about the new Contour FootJoy 2016 exclusive line range which has received rave reviews from our members on our stand at the Golf Trade Show this week”
