Ballybunion GC appoints new course manager

John Bambury is the new course manager of Ballybunion Golf Club in Ireland. Bambury, who is an experienced agronomist and green-keeping expert, will oversee Ballybunion Golf Club’s two 18-hole links layouts, the Robert Trent Jones-designed Cashen Course and the Old Course, currently rated 27th in Golf Digest’s World Top 100 rankings list. He was recruited following a search by Colt Mackenzie McNair, the specialist executive recruitment firm working exclusively in the global golf industry.

Bambury moves from his current position as course manager at Trump International Golf Links properties in Scotland and Ireland. He has also previously worked at other Irish properties including Farnham Estate Golf & Spa Resort, Co. Cavan, and Carton House, Co. Kildare.
