Award winning Isle of Wedmore GC pro shop unveils Foresite GC2 simulator

The award winning pro shop at Isle of Wedmore Golf Club, run by husband and wife PGA professionals Nick and Carole Pope, has unveiled its latest addition, a state of the art Foresight GC2 indoor golf simulator. When the couple were refurbishing the existing golf studio, which used to house a video teaching facility, the decision was made to invest in a fully immersive GC2 golf simulator. The GC2 allows golfers to play and practice indoors using their own clubs and real golf balls, whatever the weather and night or day.

The renovations included a revamp of the existing shop including a shoe wall which now boasts a large selection of both gents and ladies shoes from Callaway and Footjoy. The new layout for the store has all the clothing on the lower ground floor with one of the largest ladies collections of golf clothing and accessories in the southwest. On the upper level is a large range of clubs, trolleys and bags flowing into the indoor golf studio. Nick and Carole planned and undertook the whole project themselves with the help of the Isle of Wedmore Golf Club’s director Geoff Abraham.

Nick stated “From start to finish, the project took just under five weeks to complete but we can now boast a fantastic facility which is a brilliant addition to our shop and club. The Isle of Wedmore members and visiting golfers can hire the GC2 golf simulator for exclusive use by the hour for up to four people to play a round of golf on one of 15 courses from all over the world including the famous Ryder Cup 2010 Course at Celtic Manor, or if you prefer, you can practice on a simulated range.

“If you are looking for game improvement, a ball fitting, gap testing or custom fitting session with one of our three PGA Professionals offering unbiased advice could help you to reduce your handicap and enjoy your game more. We are thrilled with our new look facility and the response we’ve had so far from members and visitors has been amazing, we have had several bookings in the first few days since opening and we hope to build on the success.” More at: www.foresightsports.eu
